just had a quote from Plumbs for our 2 sofas of £800 Shock
Don't really know any other companies - does anyone have any recommendations?

Plumbs made us a new set of removable, washable loose covers. They shrank so badly on washing that the zips up the back wouldn't do up any more. However, their measuring and fitting were very good - the covers fit perfectly when they arrived - the problem was the fabric not the fit, iyswim, so I'd imagine they'd do a good enough job if it was non-removable covers or if you made sure the fabric was shrink-proof.

I'd look for a local firm of upholsterers rather than go for a national firm that will sub-contract to a local firm (as Plumbs does).
