My ds3's birthday party is next week & I really need to find decent but not too ££ cake stands - cupcake stands & also normal cake stands. I've tried ebay & amazon but not wowed at choice....please, any ideas? Don't have to be kiddy-ish as I plan to reuse them at other gatherings.

Massive TIA!

Strange as it may seem, I have found cheap cupcake stands in Booksale

Cybsaysbaggsie · 23/02/2011 17:59

Can you hire them from somewhere

ChippyMinton · 23/02/2011 18:03

lakeland

Harebell · 23/02/2011 18:21

The ones I saw in Booksale were cheaper than hiring

barbieisaskinnybitch · 23/02/2011 18:33

I don't fancy hiring (but thanks) but I'll check lakeland. Booksale sounds great but website is down.

I'm being thwarted!!

'tis well worth phoning round your local charity shops. It's the sort of thing they're often given but can't shift...

Mismatched florals is tres chic.

barbieisaskinnybitch · 23/02/2011 19:12

John Lewis has some lovely cake stands - I have had the LSA gourmet one for years and love it but having just looked at these might need to buy a tiered one too!

Ikea does a 3-tier glass one (good for cupcakes) and a covered glass stand for large cakes.

Oh - just noticed date of OP's post - probably too late for your party now.... Blush
