Does ice cream refreeze, or is there something wrong with my freezer?

Got ice cream from freezer last night and it was all soft and creamy - as if defrosting. Everything else in freezer was fine.
So, put ice cream back in freezer and this morning it's still soft and creamy - not frozen at all.
Is there something wrong with the ice cream or freezer?

Some ice creams are more creamy than others but you shouldn't let ice cream fully melt then refreeze as this can cause poisoning. It sounds like a creamy ice cream rather than a freezer problem though as the rest of your food is ok.

Hmmmm, think I might throw it out. It's the softness that worries me. I've had this ice cream many times before and it's never been as soft like this.

Any ideas why this has happened?
