Daft question re bleaching clothes

I have stupidly accidentally put dd1's crop tops and white vest tops in the washing machine with a pair of dd2's indigo skinny jeans.

The lovely white clothes are now a dashing shade of ...well, not white. I've never bleached clothes before, so could some kind mnetter tell me: -

a) will bleaching the white clothes work?
b) how do I do it

have you tried a colour run remover first? You can get them in the supermarket

I would put them in a bucket with cold water and a good squirt of bleach and leave for a few hours, then put straight into a whites wash and it should be OK.

Whenever I do this I always worry that some bleach will be left in the machine so I do a white towel wash straight after then I feel happy to put colours in the machine - weird I know
