Can anyone recommend a scented candle that actually fragrances a room?

I know what you mean. So often the candles smell of nothing. These from Sanctuary actually do the job and are gorgeous.

yankee candles. good value on qvc and if you don't like you can send back.

Oh I just LOVE Yankees such fab aromas x

If you want something to really make the room smell lovely then you will need melts rather than candles, or even the reed diffusers. I spend stupid amounts on them lol, try ebay for bargains

They do delish chocolate chip cookie candles that smell good enough to eat! :)

Is a huge yankee fan too hence the name lol. The tarts are a lot stronger then the candles and they stink my whole house out

I'm a huge Yankee candle fan too, they all smell gorgeous!
I find the nice housewarmer jars smell the loveliest
