Why has my fridge always got a puddle in it?

For about a week now, I've noticed a puddle of water appearing at the bottom of my fridge, under the salad trays. I get rid of it and the next day it's back!

If the freezer was above the fridge I'd assume it was leaking but it's underneath it.

There's nothing in the fridge which could be leaking.

Does anyone know where it could be coming from? It's starting to drive me a little batty!

there is usually a draining hole at the back of your fridge inside. If this gets blocked up then the condensation will drip down inside the fridge. Get a straw or similar and oke down the hole. Or pull out fridge and check from behind

Have you got the instruction booklet (or try on line?)

It will probably be a few crumbs blocking the drainage hole. Mine has a little gadget (just a little pokey stick thing) already in place. Waggle it about a bit and clean it after and the problem should be fine.

Ooh brilliant, thanks Grin I'll have a look. But not tonight. I have a horrible stinking cold and I just feel like doing nothing now.

Waggling straws down the fridge will be a game for tomorrow I think. Smile
