periodic table shower curtain - how to clean?

i've got a lovely periodic table shower curtain and don't want to ruin it, but it's quite mouldy now. just tried soaking it in cold water and bleach for a few hours but hasn't got it out. is HG mould spray safe to use on this sort of thing? or would it be ok in the washing machine on a 40 degree wash (the coolest ours does)
any suggestions welcome! ta

Grin is fairly ironic asking what chemicals will do to a periodic table shower curtain!!

Where did you get it from btw - would be a perfect present for my (chemist) dad.

What is it made of? Is it plastic or material?

I wash my (not so fancy) shower curtain at 60 degrees weekly as I find this is the only way to stop it going manky

i didn't think of the irony Grin
here's thelink

it's plastic, i've had the thought that if it can cope in a hot shower it can cope in a cool-ish wash... so i'm going to give it a go.

When I wash my shower curtain I put some warm water and biological washing powder in the bath and leave it to soak for a bit then scrub the mouldy bottom with a nail brush.

We've got one too, isn't it fab?! Dh and I are both chemists, my mother got it for us.

I know what you mean about the mould. I haven't tried putting it in the machine, I spray it with Dettol mould and mildew remover. Don't leave it on too long before rinsing though, the colours start to run!

Let me know if it works in your machine though!
