Ideas for Family room walls

We now have a family sitting room, and will shortly have a 'grown-up, keep the kids out room'

The family room is very definitely a sitting room rather than a play room and I imagine we will spend a lot of time in there.

I need some ideas for wall art. I don't want anything too childish but at the same time want something that the kids will like (they are 5 and 2 so it will need to grow with them).

Thinking maybe some cool film posters or something.

Any suggestions?

You could buy lots of frames the same colour/style in different sizes and use them to display special pictures/cards dc do in school. Easy to change, just put the old ones in a box file and update as needed.

we have two large square canvas' of the kids, taken professionally and placed about the sofa. They look fab and everyone comments on them.

We had them done at www.canvas4life.co.uk
The canvas quality is great and they are very well priced

What about this.. www.outline-editions.co.uk/
V. cool, contemporary prints. I've bought a couple of things from them and they look great in our living room, everyone who comes round comments on them and kids love them as there so bright & colorful. Plus I really like the idea of investing in art - knowing the money goes into the artist's pocket.
