We have just put black floor tiles in the bathroom & wish we hadn't, they are a nightmare showing up every footprint & bit of dirt! Any secrets to keeping them looking half decent?

Do tell if you find out.
I have black and white shiny tiles in kitchen and bathroom. Were there when we bought house and too nice to replace. But they are high maintenance.

I use 2 different mops. The normal mop and then a kind of polishing kind of mop.
It takes about 25 mins before walking on it, makes it look dirty again. We wear slippers now and pretty much I sweep 3x day.

Windolene is good on tiles-spray on and wipe off with paper towels

I had to get rid of my black tiled floor in the end, got sick of cleaning it every day (sometimes twice a day) only for it to look dirty again a few hours later. Sorry I know that doesn't help but will watch the thread with interest as I don't think there is a way to KEEP them clean!

I have black slate tiles in the kitchen and they're a nightmare to keep clean - particularly with three kids and a spotty dog who sheds his hair all over the place.

They've probably looked really nice twice in the past 9 years they were stripped, scrubbed and waxed. Frankly though I have neither the time nor the inclination to do it! So they just look 'worn'.

When we moved into our house there were black tiles in the kitchen and utility room, I hate them. Not only do they make the kitchen look dark and drab (in my opinion) but we have a yellow dog which sheds and it drives me mad.
We're not changing them because (dh says) they were new when we bought the house, they are in good condition and 'go' with the kitchen, and to try and take them up and scrape the floor etc will be nightmare.

Tbh though they don't show up dirt at all so that's a plus, but I do have to hoover everyday.
Maybe because they aren't smooth shiny tiles they don't show the dirt they are textured to look like slate or something.
Or maybe they are slate.

But whatever tiles you have I think you'd find them a nightmare - my friend has shiny white tiles in her hall and kitchen I think they look gorgeous but they REALLY show all the dirt and crumbs and she hates them.

I have lighter tiles in the bathrooms and I'm forever wiping hair and dust off them because you can see it all.

Sorry no advice, I don't think there's a lot you can do really.
