Fridge keeps gathering water

There's probably a really obvious reason for this but I don't know what it is but every couple of days I find quite a big puddle of water at the bottom of the fridge, under the salad drawers. What can I do to avoid it?

Might not be this, but our fridge has a kind of 'plunger' thing at the back near the bottoms of the fridge, you need to lift this up every now and then, and make sure it is not blocked so it drains better I think. Have you still got your instructions/guide thing - maybe its got a troubleshooting section at the back.

Behind the salad drawer there may be a small drain hole clean it out

Yes, our old fridge did this. The drain hole kept filling with water that then froze solid, and we'd have to heat up a skewer in the gas flame of the hob, and then melt the ice. HOpefully yours is a bit simpler Grin

Use a bendy drinking straw and BLOW thro the hole. If it's not frozen.

But don't suck Grin
yuck!

Yes! There is a sort of ridge at the back (artfully angled to gather water) and behind that is a hole - why hadn't I noticed it. I have just stuck a kebab stick down it and wiggled - hopefully that will do the job.

Thanks all.

I get this. Some weeks there's loads of water, others none at all. Makes no difference if I wiggle the plunger though.

Not what I want to hear clam Angry
