How do you get white shirts clean

Hi what is the best way to get white shirts clean. DH, DS & DD have to wear white shirts and I can get most of the stains out of them but not all. I often soak them overnight before washing but that does not get rid of them. Any good suggestions please.

I know once they are hung outside to dry the sun will bleach them however ......

Many thanks

Are you using biological powder and washing at 60? Or even 90?
You can rub some bio liquid or even washing up liquid into very bad marks pre washing.

This is a bit weird, but I find it works well. Chuck half a lemon into the washing machine with white washing.

oxi stuff (nappisan is the cheapest I think) works well, also a warmer wash and biological powder as suggested by bumbums .
I also find that if I use conditioner, the clothes don*t stain as easy.

I chuck in Napisan or a sachet of Glow White. I cant wait for warmer weather to dry the shirts etc outside. Cant stand non white shirts!

Glo-white is genius, even at 40 degrees.

I have white T-shirts that are five years old and still look brand new.

A very belated thanks for the information. I use biological powder and wash them at 50. I will go and get some Napisan as I have Glow White and will chuck it all in the wash and see what happens.
