You know, teapot (big enough for a few cups each) milk jug, don't do sugar so pot not essential, maybe a pretty tray too.

Any ideas where to look?

Whittards have cheap and cheerful tea sets.

I have one sat in the back of a kitchen cupboard. It's too cheap and cheerful for me.

Go look in your local auction house - they have cracking bargains and you'll get the whole humdinger - cake plates and milk jug and side plates and all!

You might not get a whole set though, there are occasional breakages so you might only get say 7 cups and saucers rather than 12.

"nothing better than a teapot that pours well...nothing worse than a bad pouring teapot"
this is the advice my friend gave me before she made me buy a £45 tepot Shock!!!
but it is lovely and pours a fab cuppa!
bought it in an ironmongers
agree with northerngirl antique shops will give you unusual sets...
posh charity shops round our way have beautiful ones in their windows
