Had my Bosch dishwasher delivered and installed by John Lewis just a couple of weeks ago and today I got an electrical shock off it!
DD was right next to me when it happened as I was explaining what it was and showing her how it worked at the time. Luckily she didn't get a jolt too or it might really have hurt or at the very least upset her. Doesn't bear thinking about really!
Called John Lewis' customer service number and the guy couldn't really have cared less. I told him what happened and he told me I'd have to wait a week before they could get anyone out to have a look. I told him that was longer than I'd waited to have it delivered in the first place. I said that seemed totally unreasonable and that I was a bit surprised at his laissez-faire attitude.
Anyway, after 20 minutes on hold I got put tthrough to an incredibly insincere woman who was pretending to be sympathetic but basically told me the same thing - it'll be 48 hours before they can enter me into "the system" and find a slot.
I said I couldn't care less about a slot, surely this is something John Lewis would want sorted anyway since there might be a faulty batch or their installers might be a bunch of cowboys.
Anyway. Unplugged the machine, and heading down to the story tomorrow in the hope that maybe if I complain in person to a manager they'll actually lift a finger.
Any advice? Any idea who I can complain to about this?
