How do I get my teaspoons shiny?

Title says it. Very dull (as are my spoons Grin ) but would like to make my cutlery shiny again. Teaspoons are the worst.
TIA.

Soak in vinegar I think

I rub my teaspoons with a bit of bicarb and a damp dishcloth. They come up lovely, though I have to be very bored indeed to do it. Soaking stainless steel in vinegar would risk pitting (or at least, I was told to tell my customers that in my exciting days as a cutlery salesperson), but wiping is fine. And tbh, it's probably fine.

Stand them in a half cup of boiling water, cover with a tea towel, leave for 5 minutes, and then polish clean with a clean cloth. The steam loosens the grubby stuff and they come up a treat.

You lot really have nothing better to do, do you Grin

Thanks!

Ah, but you didn't ask how often we do this though Grin

ViolaTricolor · 07/02/2011 13:10

Grin I only do it if I should be doing something REALLY REALLY IMPORTANT AND URGENT. Then it suddenly feels necessary.

Should be changing the beds, hoovering, updating child tax credits info, online shop and sorting large piles of paper that seem to have appeared everywhere.

So am going to shine my teaspoons instead.

Productive.
