Bought a 2nd hand bumbo chair but realised that from smokers house. Any ideas on how I can get rid of the smoke, otherwise I will have to bin it or sell to a smoker.

Squirt it with febreeze and leave it in the garden for a week - wind, rain etc.

It's a bit yuk that someone was clearly smoking in the same room as a baby though.

febreze is full of chemicals. and ime it just doesn't work.

the best thing for removing smells is white vinegar. mix white vinegar with water 50:50 in a spray bottle and spray the chair well. leave it to dry - the smell should be gone. if it is really bad you may need to spray it again.

it is amazing how well this works - and no nasty chemicals involved. the vinegar smell also disappears once the item is dry.

would it fit in your dishwasher on a high temp wash? assuming you have one lol otherwise a long soak in a hot soapy bowl? i got rid of minging smells/ stains of a baby cradle this way - was sold in excelent condition - i unscrewed it all put it in the diswasher (fabrics in wash at 60) and it came upo good as new!

Try the dishwasher or leave outside in the cold for a couple of days.
