Best non-chargeable carpet sweeper...

I used to have one that needed charging up and found it really rubbish, can anyone recommend a good old fashioned carpet sweeper that does a good job? Thanks

I like my ewbank (from lakeland about £20) for a quick whizz round but it doesn't pick up as much as a hoover. Seems to pick up most of the visable stuff though.

I have this one from argos for just going over the rug in living room - pretty good for the price here
