Is a scrape from a painted nail rather than a blob.

paint over it?

check how the paint reacts to nail varnish remover by using a cotton bud and a hidden corner. Often the varnish will come off before the paint if you're gentle!

nail varnish remover = best option. But you might have to touch up the paintwork afterwards - although if it's water based, probably not.

water-based PAINT, not remover. Blush

thanks everyone.

Rented flat so we don't have the matching paint. Its so obvious as at eye level by the lightswitch.

And I threw away nail varnish remover before thinking to try it. Seems our best chance though, thanks.

Just make sure you have clear nail varnish remover or it may well stain the paper further!(I had one bottle which was a shocking pink)
