Does anyone have a Brita water filter?

And have you moved from ordinary to maxtra cartridges? Since I have started using this my kettle seems to get furred up much more quickly than before.

Has anybody else found this or am I doing something wrong?

I have the brita classic cartidges and they work just fine. but have never used anything else, sorry.

I used to have a Brita but when it broke I switched to a Wilkinsons one as the Brita were all Maxtra and the cartridges are very expensive.

Have they got a careline or something? I would be angling for a refund - the lack of kettle furring is a big reason to use them IMO, along with the better taste.

I used to but they make perfectly good water taste funny.

I have started using Maxtra cartridges and found they don't last as long. Began to think I was imagining it, glad someone else has found the same!

I recently moved to maxtra and not found any problems. I dont use the water in the kettle.

Hi dalek, I used a Brita water filter for years but just got so tired of having to change the filtersa nd never having enough water to filter when friends popped by with babies. I installed a Kinetico Mac 7500 which is the same as Brita but plumbed under sink with separate dirnking water tap and never runs out. Water tastes just great and I only change the filter once a year (after 1850litres). Bought it from Aquavitae in Beaconsfield if any help...
