White IMO.

Just have lots of them and change them most days. I think mine were from Wilkos.

White for adults, black for children, then beat the children when they use the White ones!

HollyBollyBooBoo · 29/01/2011 20:49

Whichever ones match the decor surely?!

Seona1973 · 29/01/2011 20:59

ours are a burnt orange colour.

At least with white you can use whiteners etc. What colour is the bathroom? We often use black for the very reason that the white never stay white for long. We also have a grey/green as it goes with the paint on our walls. It also forgives more than white.

beanandspud · 29/01/2011 21:29

Ours are a chocolate brown - because it go with the tiles rather than trying to [ahem] hide any muck.

RachelHRD · 29/01/2011 21:42

We have hot pink ones from Next and a matching soap dispenser :) and teal ones with matching dispenser in main bathroom - I know I'm very sad Blush!!

DizzyKipper · 30/01/2011 10:21

Whatever goes with the colour scheme of the bathroom. Ours has a brown colour scheme so we went with chocolate coloured towels - wouldn't have been my first choice otherwise.

White, easy to hot wash, changed daily. Have some black but DS gets toothpaste on them so not a good look!
Also have a few bright one from ikea which seem to wash up really well and are the fluffiest of the lot Smile

onepieceoflollipop · 30/01/2011 14:23

I prefer soft lilac or pastel type colours. For me they are a compromise between black/navy (I always worry that the dirt is hidden!) and white which looks awful if there is a tiny smudge of dirt. Disclaimer I do launder them very regularly.

petitdonkey · 30/01/2011 14:23

We have slate grey which is good as they don't show any dirt and don't fade like black can. Also have a couple of mousey brown coloured.

3gorgeousboys · 30/01/2011 17:46

I have slate grey towels too petitdonkey - the Autograph Hotel range from M&S, so luxurious & thick, I get asked where they're from :o With 3 grubby boys, they're by far the best colour imo for avoiding dirt & also avoiding fading

GrimmaTheNome · 30/01/2011 17:53

White.

The way to stop them looking grubby is for everyone to wash their hands properly in the first place Grin

I find mine do stay white (60 C, bio detergent, white Vanish occasionally), I rather like that they show the dirt so act as QC on DDs handwashing.

White for hands, brown for feet, green for torso, thighs and seat. And in the cupboard beneath the stair...you'll find the red for pubic hair.
