Help. How do I get red wine out of wool mix top please?

I have a beautiful red wool mix tunic that I've just bought and I love, but unfortunately spilt red wine on it last night. How do I remove it please. I have it soaking in water at the moment but need something to get it out. Napisan has worked on the t-shirt I had on underneath it, but it says not to use it on fabric with wool in it. TIA.

dh spilt red wine on a white linen shirt and i thought it was doomed, what i did was put some fabric softener on it and crumbled a washing tablet into it and really worked it in before giving it a wash
