i have a shark steam mop and am v pleased with it so far.

it heats up really quickly (about 30 seconds) and comes with three heads - a triangular one, a normal rectangle one and a large rectangle.

i chose this one because the head flips over so you can use both sides of the microfibre pads. replacement pads are also easily available.

Lakeland do a Light n Easy Steam Mop.

I use it on anything from laminate to natural oak floors. It does not leave a lot of wetness afterwards and it heats up quick.

I have the HomeTek Light 'n' Easy (from Costco - about £30/£35) and it does the job just fine.

It heats up in about 20 seconds.

It came with water softner stuff (which you can re-order) which I think is essential in the UK or the limescale will ruin it in no time.

I feel it leaves the floor a little bit wetter than my Mums one does, but I have a crappy cheap laminate (was put down by previous owners, suspect it cost about £1 for 10 meters! LOL) and she has good quality teracott tiles - so that may be the difference.

The floor looks clean, the cloth looks filthy - job done Grin

I soak/roughly wash the cloth, let it dry and use it again or/and throw it in the machine with the next suitable load.

I wouldn't go back to floor cleaner/sponge mop for anything, but I do miss the lovely fresh smell of the floor cleaner.

You also have to be careful where you leave it to warm up/cool down as it can mark the floor (best to leave it on a mat/carpet if you can).

So much more waffle than you asked for [bgrin]

Just looked at BeenBeta's link - it's the same mop.
