blocked lavatory - how to unblock?

Kids' loo is blocked - probably just too much loo paper. Have got one of those plunger things but have never used it myself, and dh is away.

Please could a kind person tell me what to do?

Put the plunger in the bowl and place firly over the hole to create a vacuum - then push and pull vigoroulsy back and forth using the vacuum created to loosen the blockage.

Good. Glad it worked.

I had to clear a blockage last year by removing the toilet from the wall and getting my arm down the waste pipe to dig it out. That was my next piece of advice if plunging failed.

Think how lucky you were only getting sprayed.
