Is there such a thing as a constant hoover??

I have wooden floors downstairs, which I sweep two or three times per day. I have a large dog and two cats, so it's mainly fur. It's very boring!

Is there such a thing as a plug-in, constant hoover, which would just pick-up dust? I doubt it as it's probably totally impractical, but I'd love a little tool that I could plug into each wall which would gently suck throughout the day. I think I'm in a dreamworld though!

We have the facilities for a Beam Central Vacuum System, but I've only just realised this, so I don't really know what it is!

Anyway, I just wondered if anyone knows of anything like this?

Thank you. :)

Thanks for that, folks. I'll have a good look.

I remember seeing something on the back of the lakeland catalogue think it was something similar to the things on Amazon but have a look at www.lakeland.co.uk

A hungry dog? Grin

Seriously - a greedy pooch will do the job!

HollyBollyBooBoo · 24/01/2011 04:05

There is a Scooba aswell which will wash your floors for you!

Roombas are fab

Lakeland and John lewis sell them too

I got mine from JL and have had it replaced twice under warranty. Possibly because my house was SO scummy to start with.

Based on this use a UK company as if you DO Have to get it replaced it is much easier to do so.

I heart my roomba

I'd recommend buying a furminator for your pets. I told a friend about it and hers came yesterday. I kid you not she got a carrier bag of hair from 1 dog! Shock They're around £5 from Amazon but you can pay a lot for them elsewhere. It's a comb that pulls the undercoat from the pet.
