Does Ariel Actilift really work?

So the bloke in the ad rolls up a pair of manky socks, sticks them in the washer and runs it at 15 degrees. They come out pristine. Does this really work? Will it work on old white socks or just new ones? Just bought a huge box of washing powder so I don't fancy spending a fiver just to try it out if it's rubbish! Thanks Smile

I use Ariel Actilift, and it works brilliantly, but I use it at 40 degrees Centigrade.

Would love to know - I have a huge box of ordinary Ariel that does naff all with skanky white socks!

Bought it as last ditch effort to save DS school socks, but no joy. Will need to soak them in bleach!!!

Em no - it does the job, same as all the rest, but it most certainly does not have the magical powers shown in the advert!
