Ironing board recommendation please

Have a steam generator iron and need a new board. I'm 5'9" so would need to be tall enough for me. Don't want to spend 100 quid on a Brabantia, but want something wide enough that's suitable for a steam generator (as some of them aren't, oddly).

Thank you Grin in anticipation

I have this one

I reserved a Minky in the Argos sale the other week, and thought it was too flimsy. I got a nice Brabantia from Dunelm Mill (£50 reduced to £40, but selling for £70 elsewhere).

I am also tall and I have a Brabantia, bought it 8 years ago - it was the highest board I could find, hopefully they still make something similar.

Hi! Another vote for a Brabantia. They are the highest on the market - I'm 6ft tall - and last for ages. I got mine reduced locally.

Another vote for Brabantia, I have the extra wide one which helps make ironing easier as you can iron more at once before moving the garment around.

thanks ladies, Seona, I looked at that one.

Looks like Brabantia's the favourite, especially for tall folk

Another vote for Brabantia. Really good size for ironing duvet covers etc and you can put the iron down at one end without having to worry about it ruining the board (I've ruined so many others as the heat eventually wears through the metal frame!).

I bought mine from Homebase.
