Christ only knows what I am doing in this section Grin but here goes....

I need to clean/dust in my sitting room but I have lovebirds in here so don't want to use shop bought polish/cleaners as I don't know how they will react to it (can't burn scented candles or use air fresheners in here as it is dangerous)
The problem is that they create a lot of mess, feather dust, feathers and seeds, and it has built up to fairly epic proportions on the window sill and surface behind the cages and even my microfibre cloths need more than water to shift it.

ANy recipes for a cleaner that will clean wood surfaces and painted walls without gassing them would be much appreciated, thanks!

Thanks, but there is no 'dust polish' type stuff on there, it's the same water and oil/lemon juice mix.
Would that actually clean stuff?
