Good family planner/kitchen blackboard etc?

Hi

As part of the "new year, new us" we want something to go on the kitchen wall which can; note diary appointments, a shopping list, a 'to do' list, weekly dinner menu and a space for 'other'.

I am guessing realistically we need to use a blank blackboard or wipeboard and customise but before I do...I wondered if any MNs had bought something similar or have any suggestions as to what works for them?

Thanks
WS

We got a lovely kitchen blackboard from ikea which has a little shelf at the bottom and two very handy hooks which we use for keys etc.
Not sure as it's big enough for you as on busy days the blackboard gets quite full but i am happy with it.

I have a space painted in blackboard paint which I jot things down on

When I do it, I put meal plans on fridge so I remember each time I delve into it

Not a board but dodo pads and calendars are great for family organisation

I have a big houseful all going here and there."organised Mum" calender plus the magnetic board that stays on the fridge.Loads of spaces on the calender with shopping list, things to do and important/next week which goes from sept rather than Jan.
I then need the magnetic wipe off board on fridge with space for 5 chilren for daily/weekly.Absolutely revolutionised our house and evbody knows to look there.Lots of magnetic add ons for fun.I get mine online.

Someone I know suggested painting kitchen cupboards with blackboard paint - I thought it sounded really good. If it would suit your kitchen of course!

Watersign76 I have just launched a blackboard product on ebay. The item number is 280633094963. Have a look - it might be just what you are after, there are various designs too. It is really easy to apply. I have only just launched it so am rather excited myself. Tell your friends :D
