Good kettle for hardwater area any suggestions?

(I have given up and just buy the cheapest because it will die within a year.)

I have a regular kettle with a hidden element and I descale it with white vinegar once a month.

Might try the hidden element option, cheers.

A couple of friends have kettles with Brita filters in them this one and I think that they are pleased with it. The downside is that the whole kettle lights up in blue/ green shades.

I have one with a hidden element and it's definitely much easier to clean than an exposed element.
