Hand held vacuum cleaner - what would you recommend?

I want one of these for cleaning the stairs (I hate hoovering the stairs). I can't be doing with a rechargable one , I just want one that I can plug in and use.

Any recommendations please?

Anyone? Please rescue me from my slatternly ways....

I bout a dyson hand held just before Xmas and think it's fab. Perfect for the stairs and clearing up under the high chair!
