I need to improve the storage in the cupboard under the stairs. We have the usual coats, hats & gloves, but also accumulate loads of pairs of shoes (I can't complain, most of them are mine 
)
I want to have some kind of compartment-type storage, but also have the gas meter in there, so thinking about getting some kind of click-together cube storage thing I can (hopefully) build around the meter - like this or this - has anyone got anything like this? do they actually click together nicely or are they going to just fall apart when I chuck my shoes in them?
