Help! Trying to get nail varnish out of carpet

I was a complete ninny & knocked some red nail varnish all over the carpet by my dressing table, which is cream coloured.

It soaked in straight away so blotting did nothing. I dabbed it with non oily varnish remover & kitchen roll but nothing much happened. I applied a thick paste of baking soda & water which drew out a bit overnight but not much.

The carpet is very old & we will replace it once we can afford to, but if anyone has any tried & tested tips please let me know. It can't look worse than it does so even extreme methods would be worth a go!

I have used nail varnish remover with a cloth to get some off the carpet before now. However, I did only have a little drop of it to remove.

Good luck Smile
