Storing in the garage

In a bid to reclaim our house from encroaching toddler toys, we have found some nice storage in a second hand shop. To make room, DD and I must sacrifice our lovely nursing chair. She only bfs twice a day now, so we can cope. It's made of some fake leather effect stuff and is pretty enormous. Sounds hideous! It is fairly ugly, but was such a comfort in pregnancy and for early bf. We need to store it in case of hypothetical DC2. Only option is the garage which doesn't have a car in. Thing is, it's pretty damp and leaky in there. On the list of expensive things to have fixed.

What can we wrap it in to keep it okay for later use? I was thinking DIY shops might have plastic sheeting. Any ideas?

How about using a garden furniture cover? They are weather proof so should be ok in a leaky garage!

PLastic covers will protect it from leaks, but not from the generally cold and damp air - it may get a bit mildewy out there.
