Am mortified I had to empty my compost caddy in the bin.

I know there are worse problems in the worldHmm.
For the first time, I just couldn't fit it into my frozen compost bin. What else could I do with it?

We have the same problem just now. Don't feel guilty. It will still decompose in landfill.

decompose in landfill? Shock

No, no it will cause mucho toxins...your council should be providing compost bins for them to collect at their leisure.

Do you not have green bins for garden and kitchen waste?

JetLi · 01/01/2011 13:23

We're not allowed to put kitchen waste in our council green bin - only garden waste. The council don't want contamination in their composting from the pesticides on the veg peelings Hmm

You could put it all into a cardboard box in the shed for a few days until it thaws. Then the whole box can go into the compost bin. A cereal box or something might do.

We don't have a garden and I collect waste for my Brothers compost bin this way.
