4 people: 2 airers
= not quite enough?
always having to wait 24 hours before putting on next load of washing. never catching up.

What works?
I can never bring myself to buy another airer, they are so fucking boring and not cheap.

Thank you! I'm on the iPad and a little bit drunks, linking is somewhat beyond me at the mo :)

I am going to have one of those old fashioned airers put above the stairs. You can buy the cast iron dewberrys then pick how long you want the wood. You can hang the washing on it then pull it up to dry and since most heat goes upstairs, it should work.

My sister has just got the Lakeland plug in one link
She adores it, and I think it is very funky too

2 adults and 2 dcs 1 pulley thing in the kitchen.
Works just fine this time of year when the heating is on, but we can get a bit behind in the spring/autumn when stuff takes DAYS to dry.

Have one for 4. Its a huge one from Lakeland plastic. Very good - from Italy paid about £70 but very hobust. I only usually wash on Mon/Tues. and then say OH dirty workwear on another day as this takes up the space as he's huge!

Luckily have underfloor heating and large bathroom. I open the windows and works a treat.

5 people.

I have 2 normal airers and one heated one. I vary how I use them all. The heated one is absolutely fabulous and has made a huge difference this winter.

is the answer surely?
I'm assuming it won't play classical music though.

MIL has one of these and it's great, i have a couple of radiators with good unused wall space above.

2 adults, 2 children, 2 cot sides nailed up in the space over the chest freezer in the utility room, one tripod airer, one log-burning stove with water-jacket I sometimes dry pants on. Xmas Blush Couldn't do it if it was a normal log-burner - would be charred mess in no time. NB I am not wearing the pants while they are drying ... just to clear that up.
