I've got soooo much do do this evening and totally can't be arsed. Anyone else? Shall we do it together?

I've been endlessly ill and the DC are tiny and a lot of work (DP works away), os the house is a shit heap mess.

Anyone up for cooking up some lists and getting cracking?

Please Grin

I would but there is no way I can be arsed.

SilveryMoon · 29/12/2010 17:03

I was just thinking I should get my act together and do some housework, but I can't be arsed, so not going to.
Not helpful, I know. Sorry.
At a push, I will
Bath the ds's
Wash up
Clean kitchen
Put pj's on
Pour the wine

Wallace · 29/12/2010 17:05

If baby sleeps this evening I need to carry on backing up all the photos on the computer...

HettyAmaretti · 29/12/2010 17:10

Am an hour ahead of the UK so it's nearly DC's bedtime. I've already poured a largish glass of port to fortify me Shock (NOT my usual behaviour).

This is not looking promising.

You lot aren't a lot of help, are you? Hmm Wink

I'll join.

Later. :o

DS is still asleep on me after BFing, oh shame... After dinner I have to get on with stuff! DH has more than pulled his weight today.

TrinityMotherOfRhinos · 29/12/2010 17:20

I've cleaned the kitchen, taken all the toys upstairs and hoovered the life out of the frontroom today

and jumped and run the new car, delivered presents that we didn't manage to do before christmas and put a cheque in the bank

all I have left in me is to feed kids, bed kids and drink stella

HettyAmaretti · 29/12/2010 17:24

Bless you Frosty!

10 points and respect to Trinity. Good work that Rhino.

DC are now having dinner and will be straight off for an early night after. Bathed them this morning in preparation (cunning plan or foolish mistake?)

I shall try to make a List and hopefully scrape together a modicum of motivation. Not sure if the port will help or hinder me.

Oh, FFS, Ds has just pulled the christmas tree over AGAIN.

FAOnTelly · 29/12/2010 17:39

I've just done a quick tidy of the kitchen and living room, hoovered, swept up and mopped floors. Place is looking presentable, if cluttered.

I need to do as big spring lcean / de-clutter, but that is a job for January.

Now settling down to a large glass of sherry (someone's gotta finish off the bottle!) Grin

Plumm · 29/12/2010 17:46

My DN (8) came round today and took out my rubbish and cleaned my kitchen surfaces (and offered to dust but I don't have dusters, the shame). I'm hiring him out if anyone's interested.

HettyAmaretti · 29/12/2010 18:20

FAO and plumm, you're just trying to make me jealous! Envy

Right, DC in bed and coffee made. Quick hey? My resolve is sagging but I really must get some stuff done. A major spring clean is definitely called for, but not this evening.

After I've sorted the dinner mess, put the dishwasher on and tided away the toys I must, at least:

Sort out trashed Christmas tree (again)
Clean the kitchen
Fold clean, dry washing
Put washing on
Sort landing
Make a start on sorting The Attic Room of Absolute Horror ready for SIL & BIL this weekend

Should also:
Fetch wheely bin
Tidy our bedroom and change bed
SOrt and mop bathroom
Hoover and mop downstairs
Start shopping lists
Go to bed early

Hmm

Place your bets on how spectacularly I'm going to fail!

TrinityMotherOfRhinos · 29/12/2010 18:27

ok now the kids have had their tea, warmed sausage rolls, boiled eggs and brocolli

and the bedtime marathon begins

then washing up, tidying and stella

TrinityMotherOfRhinos · 29/12/2010 18:48

ok kids are in bed, went quite smoothly tbh

HettyAmaretti · 29/12/2010 18:49

Excellent, glad to hear it!

OK, you've shamed me into action. Haven't actually got up yet Blush. Off to make a start.

OP posts:
TrinityMotherOfRhinos · 29/12/2010 18:51

I still need to wash up and tidy but have been trying really hard to keep on top of it today so there is not much

TrinityMotherOfRhinos · 29/12/2010 19:27

ok I have washed up tidyed AND had a shower and washed my hair Smile

HettyAmaretti · 29/12/2010 19:37

Go Trinity!

I'm not doing so well, still feeling ill which isn't helping.

Have: sorted the dinner mess, put the dishwasher on and tided away almost all the toys. Started cleaning the kitchen to a limited extent (which is enough actually), still need to do the sink. Sorted the Christmas tree and eaten.

Actually, it doesn't look that bad written down. Doesn't ^feel6 like I'm getting anywhere.

I'm off to tackle the Attic Room of Absolute Horror. 15 minutes. gah.

TBH it's the attic that's putting me off doing other stuff. Damned procrastination it makes no sense at all.

OP posts:
HettyAmaretti · 29/12/2010 20:19

Right, I've finally done my 15 mins in the attic room. What a difference.

Why do I put these things off, it just makes me feel so shitty Hmm

I'm giving up now though. Far too tired for more.

3/10 Oh well.

TrinityMotherOfRhinos · 29/12/2010 20:54

WELL DONE Grin

YUO CAN DO IT

TOMORROW IS ANOTHER CHANCE FOR A COUPLE OF 15 MINS Grin

FrostyAndSlippery · 29/12/2010 21:38

Done a bit - DS very grumpy this evening though. Managed to sort some laundry and take the Xmas decs down. Yaaaaay go me.

Oh actually I also cleared out some stuff from DD's room earlier, so not that bad I guess.

Just realised I haven't taken my ADs today... That may explain my lack of motivation Blush

HettyAmaretti · 29/12/2010 22:21

Thanks Trin Grin

Good work Frosty, getting anything done around grumpy DC is an automatic minimum of 8/10 in my book. Tomorrow is another day, as Trinity says.

Actually, I couldn't sleep and have got plenty done. Even a quick tidy of DCs rooms

I tend to make lists over-long / overestimate how much work something's going to be when I'm dreading something so I have an excuse 'not to have time' to do the thing I'm dreading IYSWIM. Turns out things weren't that bad after all. Hehe. Still the cleaning to do, but that doesn't seem so daunting without the chaos layer.

Attic is now at a stage that I'm happy for DD to sit up there with me while I do more. So, can do a bit more while DS is sleeping tomorrow Grin
