take a look in poundland as they have big boxes with lids and you can stack them up too...its so cheap as well

Have had loads that have split or cracked or lids don't stay on or don't stack well, but can recommend Really Useful boxes. Very sturdy with good closures. Argos and Staples sell them.

I got Crystal ones from Jo Jo Maman. I have since seen similar things for better prices but jo jo do often do a multi buy deal.
The boxes are clear so you can see what is inside. The come in several colours so you can put the lego in the blue and the playmobil in the pink etc. Or you can co ordinate with the room if that is an issue.
The lids "click" on so they are secure.
You can stack them up inside a wardrobe etc to maximise space.

Had a look on JoJoMaman but they've pretty much sold out of the rainbow ones (no crystal). Also had a look at staples - i think i'll give these a try!

Thank you
