It'll be fine - we used it a long time ago and didn't even think about it being a problem. It's just a dry powder so there's no reason a Dyson shouldn't get it up. I used to sell Dysons (8 years ago) and we had training from Dyson head office - they never mentioned it.

Do they still make shake and vac? Does it smell the same?

I HAVE to get some and have a nostalgic hoover. It'll be like I'm my mum and it is 1990 all over again!

My mums uses it all time with her dyson and shes had it about 9 years now and its still ok so i shouldnt think it would damage it :)

Don't see why you can't use it with a Dyson.
But you must do the shake and vac song and dance every time you do use it. That will teach your DH Xmas Grin

or on second thoughts, get him to do the shake and vak song Grin

I used it with my Dyson and it buggered up the filter! The particles are too fine apparently Hmm. Dyson do their own brand of S and V which, unsurprisingly, is ridiculously expensive at £9.99 a bag!

oh thanks celia. i thought i had heard negative comments.
i dont think i will chance it.
