improvise me a cobweb remover please

i'm avoiding the shops till i do THE BIG ONE but have noticed loads of cobwebs in my house.

can you suggest a good high up cob web removal technique? preferably a quiet one so i can do it while ds naps. :)

Tie a sock around your broom handle and use that.

Wet a tea towel, wring it out tight, tie it to the handle end of a broom, voilà.
If it's damp the cob webs get stuck to the tea towel easily.

i'm using a damp sock on a stick and have done downstairs already! i'll wait till ds is asleep before i go upstairs. :)
