We store the majority of living room toys in a large leather-type box. At the end of the day, almost everything can be chucked inside and then the box lives under the coffee table and the room looks like adults live here too.

However, not everything goes in and we currently have a small play kitchen and a shape sorter reminding us of the little people!

i got two small white childrens bookcases from ikea, then on the shelves are baskets in primary colours for toys, and books held in by metal bookends that slip on to shelves.

Being super-organised (which I would like to be all the time, but sadly am not) I have recently bought a large teak ottoman. I am using it for baby clothes at the mo (did I mention I havent yet given birth to this child?) and plan to use it in the long term for toys. It looks nice and is a proper piece of furniture that in years to come can be used for a variety of things.

I have just brought a faux leather box from argos. It looks really good in living room and can double up as an occassional seat.
