car mat in wash with other stuff?

Poor DD has just been copiously sick in the car :-(

When we got home, I was put in charge of cleaning up DD and myself (I'd been doing the comforting cuddles) while DH put himself in charge of sorting out the clothes DD was wearing and car stuff.

I've now realised that he put the car floor mat (one of those mats with rubber at the bottom) in the washing machine along with DD's coat, her clothes and the soft toy that was a casualty of the episode.

He's washing at 40 degrees with 2 spoons of Napisan in the wash.

I don't know why, but I'm feeling a bit queasy at the car mat being in the same wash as the other stuff. I'm being sillly aren't I? (Am an OCD sufferer so not sure if I'm feeling legitimately queasy IYSWIM)

I also have mild OCD, so may not be the best judge. Personally would have washed seperately in case of other nasties from bottom of shoes etc.

Could you run another quick wash without the car mat after this cycle has finished? Not to critise him, just say coat still smells a bit or something....

Dont want to worry you but my dad once put car mats in the washer on a 30 and ever since theres been black rubber marks on there washing :s. Had to get a new washer

Dont worry about sick in the washer with other clothes it will wash them through and with the nappisan in there it will kill all the grems :D
