Washing baby clothes

I have been using non-bio stuff for washing baby clothes but it doesn't actually get all the stains and things out very well. What do you recommend? Could I wash in normal biological stuff and then just give it a second rinse or something?

Thanks

I only used non-bio for a few weeks and then used bio for everything - no extra rinse was needed.

For my first baby I did everything carefully in the non-bio stuff. For the second baby it just went in with everyone else's washing (bio and softener or otherwise) and he was fine.

How long is your wash cycle? I found that with non-bio on out 40 min, 40C wash - nothing came out clean. Switched to a longer wash and it was much better.

We did switch back to bio when DS was about 4mo though with no ill effects.
