Tumble dryer has just completely broken.
Where is the cheapest place to get a similar quality one for under £250 .We can manage for a few days if we have to order one online but no longer.
We currently have had a Zanussi condenser dryer TC 481W.

why now!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can't you get it repaired rather then buy a new one?

brimfull · 03/12/2010 22:18

Same issue here, though ours hasnt died yet but the washing comes out burning hot which i think is a bad sign and i'm scared to use it. i'm not sure dryers are worth getting repaired?

beachesforme · 03/12/2010 22:50

WikiFreak · 03/12/2010 22:53

Our thermostat broke. Dh got the part and installed. He is not an engineer. Cost £39

Iwasthefourthwiseman · 03/12/2010 22:55

How did he know it was the thermostat? bit worried about setting the house on fire with malfunctioning dryer.

WikiFreak · 03/12/2010 22:58

Google I think. Rang local repairs shop. Said " I think it's this"

careergirl · 05/12/2010 22:24

my dryer's just died and I've ordered a new one on a buy now pay 2012 deal from Littlewoods. Interest free until expiry of pay later period. Not something I'd usually do but its a bad time to pay out for expensive appliances just before xmas. I'll pay it off in April
