I'm thinking about sorting out a boiler/heating insurance cover, does anyone have this type of thing and is British Gas the best to go with or is there a better alternative? :)

we are with Scottish (British) Gas on their top package which gives electrical cover as an extra. It gives boiler cover, plumbng and drains and electric cover for around £28 per month.

we've got British gas home care cover. costs about 10 quid a month and includes a yearly service. flat rate of 50 quid for any repairs.

Hi , woke up this morning to no heating or hot water . As we are covered by British Gas cover plan presumed they would attend either today or tomorrow, wrong ! 5 days before they will come out , so angry and have never had a bad experience with them before . We do not have our gas with them so wondering if we are put to bottom of queue ( naughty step ) that’s how it feels .just wondering if anyone else has has a similar experience ?

British Gas have a MASSIVE shortfall of engineers at the moment and have been unable to fulfill their service or repair requirements, there have been cases of them telling people to get a local company in to repair it and they will foot the bill.
