Oooohhh - raspberry red. Grin

WherecanIhide · 22/11/2010 21:29

Hard to say cos I don't know what the rest of the room is like. The red is a lovely shade of red...x

beebuzzer · 22/11/2010 21:33

mocha brown sounds safer!

MakemineaGandT · 22/11/2010 21:34

red

redhollyberry · 22/11/2010 21:40

Like the red, it's lovely.....but think I would go for the brown as you can easily change the colour scheme of the room later on.

Mooos · 23/11/2010 07:10

Red red red

Mooos · 23/11/2010 07:10

(Brown is boring) (everyone has brown)

dreamingofsun · 23/11/2010 08:30

brown. red will show the dirt very quickly and it doesn't look easy to clean - but then i live in a house of dirty pigs!

CeliaFate · 23/11/2010 09:22

I'd go for brown. You can change rugs and cushions more often for variety. I would tire of red quickly.

lucykate · 23/11/2010 09:23

we have red (leather) sofas and love the colour.

MollysChambers · 23/11/2010 09:25

Brown. Will hide the dirt better!

sb6699 · 23/11/2010 09:33

Red - everyone has brown and its a bit safe iykwim.

Red is bold and adventurous but still a warm colour.

Spink · 23/11/2010 19:52

right. unanimous Wink
I think we might go for the red.... the room has wood floors and white walls, a cream rug (not sure how that has survived with a 3 and 1 yr old but there you go),and one wall is filled with books. The sofa we have at the moment is aubergine-y velour and the colour is lovely and welcome in a pretty plain room.
I hear the safety of the brown but.. the red makes me smile inside...
... might check if the covers are removable and washable first though. Must be a bit sensible Hmm

Yeah red wins.

Librashavinganotherbiscuit · 24/11/2010 04:20

We have that red (but not that model), great colour but does tend to show every snot smear but the material washes well just make sure you go for loose covers.

soppypreggyloon · 24/11/2010 08:25

We have one of their sofas in mocha. It has survived spilt milk, leaky nappies and puke. The covers do wash but take an age to dry as I handwashed them.
We had a red sofa before Ds and it faded in the sun. We now have a blue one and it shows all dribbles, snot etc.
I'd be wary of the red for showing all the marks but the brown seems to survive everything! :)

I want antique!

Spink · 24/11/2010 13:15

Gentleness, our other sofa is really similar to antique... it is great and oddly shows no stains ever. Even red wine and coffee. Magic.

Thanks Liz!
we've got a sofa at the moment with quite wide arms and want to go for a sofa bed with narrow arms so we've got more seat width for the same overall width, iykwim... and the harveys sofa beds are all wide arms or no arms....
