I use scourer pads, the three for a pound(ish) ones. Mainly because dishcloths never seem to get the stuff off plates and pans! And rather than have a dishcloth and a seperate scourer, why not have them stuck together.

Get a new one out on house cleaning day (usually Sunday!) and swap the old one to clean the toilet.

Always seemed fairly sensible to me... Grin

i use one of those sponges with a scourer on for washing up
and a dish cloth for wiping kitchen surfaces.
My current dishcloth is stuck in the wash every time my washing machine goes one (so every day or 2)
My scourer gets binned / replaced at least once a week

i use a different brand for the toilet /bathroom cloths so they dont get muddled

I also use a cheap sponge with scourer stuck to one side - 13p for six in Tesco. I use a new one every day, wash up, wipe all surfaces, wipe bin lid, clean cat bowls, rub any odd marks off floor lino then into bin.
