holding auditions now.

at 12 noon i am going to attack the lower level of my house (living room + kitchen). tehre are lots of dishes and just really lots of things everywhere that they shouldn't be. ds1 is also glittering (oh the joy). so i am going to do 3x 15 minute bursts between the two rooms to try and clear a path in case of emergency (unexpected visitors). ds1 says he will help so when i check back here at 12.45, who is going to be here to beat gently encourage me to keep going and tackle the rest once i have the initial lot done? (i tend to stop once i sit down again)

ive managed to clean my lounge floor (laminate) AND put my guinea pig back with fresh bedding etc

phew!!

actually got more done than i expected in that wee burst.

dishes and counters done
all toys somewhere upstairs (ds did that, i haven't checked what he actually did with them)
all rubbish off surfaces and floors
all glitter gone (thank god)
fixed all the throws and cushions on sofas (more trouble than they are worth)

just have to actually hoover and mop the floors so they are properly clean.

is it just me or is mopping the worst thing invented? i hate the fact that once i have done a few swishes my mop is dirty and no amount of rinsing will get it totally clean. i have 3 mop heads and a huge laminate floor in my living room. it takes all 3 to do it.

nope, just having a wee break and then I'll get onto it. 5 minutes, i promise

ds and i have just had a debate. he gets a smiley face for good behaviour and we are arguing over which section his smiley is to go in.

the choices are

1. doing what I've been asked or
2. taking care of my things.

he thinks the former, i think the latter. the debate is ongoing.

i realised i couldn't do floors without doing windows and dusting first so i did that. and now i realise i have to rake out and re-sat the firs before i hoover or else I'll have to do that again.

so going to have some lunch then do the fire and then do the floors.

i know, i am putting off the worst job but that is the order it must be done.

i really fancy i cold can of coke now.

or fanta, that would do.

I've just finished lunch, all dishes and counters done. ds is sorting all the dvds and videos and I'm going to do the fire and then hoover.

wash folded and waiting to be put away (why am i on MN???)
had to re-do all ds's video sorting efforts
and have brushed the floors. will hoover and mop after dinner as there will only be more food on the floor then anyway.

also have to bath dog tonight. dont like cleaning the floor and then having him be dirty on it again.

would still love a can of coke.
