Dried on and washed in blood - too late to save?

I bled all over my sheets a week ago. Then I left them on the bed for a few days (grim, I know, but it was a busy time) so it was thoroughly dried in. They have now been through two cold washes with Dylon remover for organic stains rolled on, to absolutely no effect at all.

Is it too late to buy and try things like Ace or Napisan, or soaking in salty water, or have I blown it?

They are particularly nice stripy sheets, so I'd like to save them if I can.

I don't know, but I'd certainly try the salt. I'd try Biotex too (that shifts most things)

I'd suggest soaking in a bucket of cool water with Ariel solution (for some reason this is always what we use for soaking ). If there are particularly bad stains, I'd make up a paste of Ariel and water, and smear it on the stain directly before you soak. My other alternative would be Vanish stain removing bar, and lots of scrubbing with cold water. I've managed to get out dried in curry stains this way, so it might work on the blood.

I have excellent results with Ace getting out blood - my son has frequent nose bleeds. But I'm not sure how well it'd work now on your sheets. If you decide to try a few things, don't let the sheets dry in between, just rinse and try the next thing. And let it soak - you might lose a bit of colour though.

are you using bio powder/liquid when you wash? DD has nose bleeds and I find just using bio powder works ok

Waitrose bio liquid for previous washes. But have just rewashed with surf bio powder and it has faded quite a bit. It's soaking now in more salty water and then I will put it through with surf again. I scent triumph.

I'd put some of the bio liquid on the stain as well as using the powder.

oxy vanish added to normal powder and I would was at 60 degrees with stains if you have such a cycle
