What's the best Roasting Pan?

Have you found a reliable and easy to clean roaster? Can anyone recommend a brand please?

Mermaid - tough, easy to clean and keeps its shape and looks year in, year out. Holds its shape and doesn't warp on direct heat on the hob when making gravy either. Pricey (around 30GBP? for a roaster) but well worth it! I've got 2, but want to replace all my tins with Mermaid ones eventually - you can def get them from lakeland but I'm sure other places do them.

Mermaid v good, as zam72 said above. I also have 2 I bought from TK Maxx which are good, but as I can't remember the brand that probably doesn't help much. Aga's range are also good.

I've got a Mermaid one (from Lakeland!) too, and it is fabulous. Well worth the money.

Definitely look into Mermaid.

anyone tried Tefal?

I like Tefal for short-term (5 years shelf life, eg) non-stick frying pans but if the roasting tin is their usual non-stick then I'd be concerned that it'd be fine for a few years if cared for absolutely properly (no metal) but would eventually wear out and you would have to replace. Probably Tefal worse for a roasting tin than just a plain bog standard aluminium one which ends up looking a bit crap, ends up non-stick in a few years (with layers of grease...yum) but will last a long time - but may warp. Have to say that I trust Lakeland stuff in general, even if not Mermaid, as I think they generally don't stock stuff that isn't fit for purpose for cooking durability IME.

Oh...should add (who knew I had such a lot to say about roasting tins?! I sure am a fascinating girl! ) the Mermaid one is a pretty good at being 'non-stick' of sorts. Something to go with how or what the metal is I think.

I swear by my Pampered Chef rectangle baker. Not strictly a roasting tin but does just as well

I would second the suggestion to look in TK Maxx, our local branches are always well stocked with kitchenware and I've picked up quite a few heavyweight baking tins/trays there. There is always a choice of different brands as well.

I got a pair of mermaid ones from TK Maxx - they def. don't buckle or warp, but I don't find them particularly easy to clean...
