my 13yr old ds wears roll on deodrant and spray lynx type every day but his t-shirts and school shirts still smell of bo by the end of the day, and i noticed even after washing they still smell when i iron them.
what can i do to get rid of the smell?
i have tried non bio liquid and bio liquid, soaking, treating the underamrs with vanish etc but nothing has worked so far.

what temperature are you washing at?

tried a cool wash (my machine will only do a 30degree as cool) 40 and a hot wash with bleach for the school shirts.

I hope someone has an answer to this! I think some fabrics are worse than others for this and it builds up quickly on things that are worn regularly (my work polo shirt is worst).

We alternate between anti-perspirant and Pit-rok deodorants. The pit-rok stops the smell from forming (but not as effective if the clothes have the smell in them already) and doesn't cause a build up on clothes.

A-P is better if going out and you don't want to risk wet patches. I find it's effective for days after use, even with bathing. Usually Pit-rok weekdays and A-P weekends.

this is the thing, he doesn;t get wet as such and more just generates a smell! hes a fit healthy teenager, definatley not overweight or anything that would cause him to smell that is obvious.
I did have to supervise baths until recently as wasn;t alwasy convinced that he had washed with soap, but hes now very careful about hygeine and spends hours in the bathroom washing and messing with his hair.
will try some pit-rok for him though and perhaps start again with hsi school shirts, i doubt he will let me throw some of his t-shirts out though as they are his favourites.
