Oven Pride, ok on knackered self-cleaning oven

It's in a disgusting state and have bought some Oven Pride (nothing else has touched it) but you can't use it on self-cleaning ovens. Thing is, my oven (Kuppersbusch) is v old and the self cleaning thing never worked. Shall I try it or will it melt?

maybe I'll do the racks in oven pride and try out the self cleaning function again

no idea but setting myself up as an Oven Pride consultant so lurking :o
